This weekend is dedicated to the archer who prefers to use stick and string, sorry, no compounds are allowed. The tournament consist mostly of a typical hunting shots that are encountered under a variety of conditions, however, there are usually a few that will challenge even the best archers. Additionally, novelty shoots will be conducted to challenge any archer brave enough to try. The tournament will have three classes for Men; Longbows, Recurves, and Selfbows. Other classes are Women's, Youth, and Cub making this an event for the entire family! There are always a lot of door prizes and as usual some lucky folks will win a new bows Sunday at the door prize drawing! You must be present to win at the conclusion of the shoot Sunday afternoon. There will be other great door prizes as well.
The shoot times are a little different from normal monthly shoots so make note, Saturday the shoot kicks off at 8am and the books close at 3pm. Sunday the action gets underway at 8 am and the books close at 2 pm. After all the competitors are in on Sunday the door prizes will be given away by drawing.
The entry fees are $15.00 for the first round and $10.00 for each additional round. You are encouraged to shoot in each class. If you shoot the same class twice the first round counts for record. Oh, Cubs shoot for free!
Those of you who use compounds are encouraged to come on out to see how simple archery can be, you might discover you like it. Plus there are always several dealers pedaling their wears, you might be tempted to invest some of your hard earned cash.
