Prairie Dog Matches

You may not have access to a prairie dog town, but believe it or not, we have plenty of the little rascals for you to harvest right here on our own benchrest range.  They may all be "paper" dogs, but they are a lot of fun to hunt.

We have decided to offer just two classes for centerfire rifles.  The first match will be for rifles that weigh 9 1/2 # or less.  You may make modifications to your guns and use any scope you want.  The course of fire will be 5 shots at 100yds and 10 shots at 200yds after sighters.

The second match will be similar to the first except it will be for guns that weigh over 9 1/2 #.

Then we'll have a third match for all the.22 rf  fans in the club.  This match will consist of 5 shots at 50yds and 10 shots at 100yds after sighters.  Guns can be any weight with any scope and modifications.

Finally at the conclusion of the .22 rf match we will have an egg shoot at 300yds.  Any gun with any scope will be permitted.  After sighters everyone will shoot 5 shots at an egg target with the winner getting $1.00 from each person's entry fee.

Shooting will be off the benches with front and rear rests and a $5 entry fee lets you shoot any or all the matches.  These matches are open to the public and start at 8:00 a.m. on the 2nd Saturday of each month, beginning in April and continuing until Fall.
