For the last 3 years, the Oklahoma City Gun Club has been proud to host the GSSF Red Dirt Shootout, which has consistently set new records in participation. Essentially a regional match, it has been highly successful and the OKC Gun Club has been an ideal venue.

For 2027, Oklahoma City Gun Club will host GLOCK’s largest match of the year. We are excited about the opportunity to bring this event to Oklahoma and showcase our facilities, volunteers, and shooting community on a national level. The event will be more than double what we normally do for the Red Dirt Shootout.

The biggest difference in the Glock Annual Shoot from any other GSSF match is the Gunny Challenge, essentially making this a match within a match. The Gunny Challenge originated in 2005 when Gunnery Sergeant, R. Lee Ermey, AKA “The Gunny”, would end the competition by competing against another celebrity. The Gunny Challenge is carried on in his honor with a competition of the top GSSF competitors.

To compete in the Gunny Challenge, a competitor must be a Matchmeister, which is the overall winner of a GSSF match holding the best time across all qualifying divisions. In this unique shoot-off between the Matchmeisters, they are issued a GLOCK pistol and ammunition for a surprise course for the challenge.
