This is a handgun malfunction clearing class focusing on how to quickly clear and fix a firearm stoppage (malfunction) in emergency self-defense and high-pressure situation. The class will have both classroom and live fire training at the range. The classroom will teach Causes for Malfunctions, Instant Recognition, Immediate/Emergency Action Drills for all levels of malfunctions, and Preventions of Malfunctions. Afterwards, the class will move to the range for live fire malfunction drills and practice.
This is not a beginner class. To attend this training class, you MUST have previously completed one of the following OKCGC classes: The OKCGC Basic Handgun class, the Ladies Pistol League Basic class, the SDA Refresher class, or similar documented OKCGC or NRA course. The class is open to semi-automatic .380, 9mm, or .45 ACP handguns only. No revolvers. Please bring 100 rounds of ammunition, at least two magazines, and an unloaded semi-auto handgun in a case. No firearms or ammunition in the classroom. Holsters will not be needed or used for this course. Also, please come with unloaded magazines. We will be loading them on the range for you.
