Short Description: This is a 6-hour classroom only course that teaches the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential in organizing, promoting, and teaching NRA’s Home Firearm Safety Course.

Prerequisite:  Completion of the NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT) within the last two years is also required.

Description: Students demonstrate organizational and teaching skills via participation in practical exercises during the course and complete an instructor certification examination.
